Words that rhyme with Correct
Most songwriters treat correct as a word the lyric earns weight from by context, but the phonology underneath matters: two-syllable, vowel on the centred /ษ/, ending that lands on a closed syllable. The lyric earns it by placement, not by selection. The assonance well is bottomless, the family-rhyme column adds honest near-rhymes, and the perfect-rhyme pool is one of the deeper ones. Search rhymes for correct long enough and you notice the pattern: the pull is toward slant work. The perfect-rhyme list below is generous; lean on it before sliding into slant.

How songwriters use these rhymes

Why correct rhymes the way it does
Correct is two-syllable, its rhyme-relevant vowel sitting on the mid /ษ/, then it shuts cleanly on a stopped consonant. In our 54,000-word dictionary the perfect-rhyme pool returns 54 matches, family rhymes 3, additive and subtractive together 145, assonance 11,603, and consonance 243. That's a deep perfect column. The song can ride strict rhymes from end to end, only sliding into assonance when the line needs to surprise. In the room with a guitar: write toward the strict rhyme first, then go back through and replace the obvious ones with the assonance matches that earned their place. Correct is a word that benefits from the second pass.
