Words that rhyme with Debt
For lyric work, debt behaves as a quotidian anchor. Sound-wise: one-syllable, vowel on the mid /ษ/, finally it lands on a closed syllable. It's a word everyone uses โ which is what makes it powerful in a lyric. Take the rhyme counts on their own terms: the perfect-rhyme pool is one of the deeper ones, family rhymes are simply absent, the assonance pool is the one that won't run out. Take the lyric role separately and it's a word everyone uses. Pull from the perfect column first; it has range you can use across a whole song.

Why debt rhymes the way it does
In our engine, debt registers as a one-syllable word on the centred /ษ/ (/ษ/) that snaps shut on a stop. In our 54,000-word dictionary the perfect-rhyme pool returns 125 matches, family rhymes 0, additive and subtractive together 47, assonance 10,644, and consonance 913. That's a deep perfect column. The song can ride strict rhymes from end to end, only sliding into assonance when the line needs to surprise. Practical: skim the strict column first and pick the two or three matches you can sing without thinking. Then move to assonance for the in-between lines. Debt reads as more memorable when the strict matches are reserved for the line endings that matter most.
