Words that rhyme with Lack
Most songwriters treat lack as an unguarded everyday word, but the phonology underneath matters: one-syllable, vowel on the flat /æ/, ending that closes on a hard stop. The lyric earns it by placement, not by selection. Take the rhyme counts on their own terms: there's no shortage of perfect matches, nothing lands in the family-rhyme column, the assonance pool runs into the thousands. Take the lyric role separately and it's a household-word. The strict list is rich enough to anchor the whole song.

Why lack rhymes the way it does
In our engine, lack registers as a one-syllable word on the front-and-flat /æ/ (/æ/) that shuts cleanly on a stopped consonant. In our 54,000-word dictionary the perfect-rhyme pool returns 65 matches, family rhymes 0, additive and subtractive together 114, assonance 6,519, and consonance 643. That's a deep perfect column. The song can ride strict rhymes from end to end, only sliding into assonance when the line needs to surprise. Practical: skim the strict column first and pick the two or three matches you can sing without thinking. Then move to assonance for the in-between lines. Lack reads as more memorable when the strict matches are reserved for the line endings that matter most.
