Words that rhyme with Slutty

Most songwriters treat slutty as a household-word, but the phonology underneath matters: two-syllable, vowel on the high /ɪ/, ending that ends on an unbuttoned vowel. The lyric earns it by placement, not by selection. Take the rhyme counts on their own terms: the perfect-rhyme list is short, the family-rhyme bucket is bare, the assonance count climbs into the thousands. Take the lyric role separately and it's a word everyone uses. Reach for the assonance list whenever the strict pool starts repeating itself.

Why slutty rhymes the way it does

In our engine, slutty registers as a two-syllable word on the clipped /ɪ/ (/ɪ/) that ends on an unbuttoned vowel. In our 54,000-word dictionary the perfect-rhyme pool returns 13 matches, family rhymes 0, additive and subtractive together 8, assonance 4,317, and consonance 1027. The empty family column matters less than it looks. Family rhymes are a strict-classifier construct; the songwriter's ear accepts most assonance matches in their place. What matters when you're writing: the ear forgives slants in service of meaning. If the strict rhyme is the predictable word, the assonance match will usually hit harder. Slutty is a word where the slant choice almost always reads as more thoughtful than the obvious end-rhyme.
