Words that rhyme with Valid
From a sound-design view, valid is a low-register anchor on the short /ɪ/, two-syllable, and it shuts cleanly on a stopped consonant. It's a word everyone uses — which is what makes it powerful in a lyric. The headline counts: strict matches don't survive the classifier, family rhymes are simply absent, and the assonance options multiply into the thousands. The lyric headline: it works as a common-tongue word. The slant-by-vowel column will carry you a long way past the strict matches.

Why valid rhymes the way it does
In our engine, valid registers as a two-syllable word on the clipped /ɪ/ (/ɪ/) that ends with a clean stop. In our 54,000-word dictionary the perfect-rhyme pool returns 2 matches, family rhymes 0, additive and subtractive together 42, assonance 6,673, and consonance 324. That's a narrow strict column with a very deep slant well beneath it. Modern songwriting reads those slants as rhymes; the ear has been trained on them for a century. Writing-tip: don't end every line with the strict rhyme. Use the slant columns at the joints and the strict matches at the seams. Valid works hardest when the slant carries the verse and the strict match closes the chorus.
