From the firmware that ships with macOS 26.7, 15.8 and 27, where no app can do that any more, Rein sets Apple’s own 80 to 100 percent limit for you, by hand, by a preset or by a rule, and holds any level below 80 while the Mac is awake. Top-up on demand, discharge to a level, and a health history. Tested on an M2 Pro MacBook Pro on macOS 26.6 and 27.0.1.
