Terms of sale and refunds

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Who you are buying from

Rein for Mac is sold by Luke David, trading as Undercover Zest. Email: tidbit-people.1u@icloud.com, which is the quickest way to reach me.

Postal address, for letters only (there is no office or shop here): Luke David, Suite 691, 80A Ruskin Ave, Welling DA16 3QQ, United Kingdom.

What you are buying

A licence to use Rein for Mac, version 1, on the Macs you own. You get a personal licence code that unlocks every feature. Updates are free for the whole of version 1. If there is ever a version 2, it may be a paid upgrade, and your copy of version 1 keeps working either way. Please do not share or resell your code. If you are buying for several people, email first.

Try before you buy

Every copy starts with a 7-day trial of every feature, with no card and no account. When the trial ends, Rein returns your Mac to its macOS defaults and locks its controls until you enter a code.

Price and payment

The price is £22, one payment, shown before you pay. Payment is taken on Ko-fi, which passes it to its payment processor. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

Getting your code

Your code is usually ready within a minute of paying. Collect it on the claim page with the email you paid with, and come back to the same page if you ever need it again. If it has not appeared after ten minutes, email with your Ko-fi receipt.

Refunds: 14 days, no questions asked

If you change your mind within 14 days of buying, email from the address you paid with, or include your Ko-fi receipt, and you will get a full refund to the way you paid. You do not need to give a reason. After a refund, the licence ends: please remove your code from Rein.

This is in addition to your legal rights as a consumer, and nothing in these terms takes those away.

Using Rein safely

Rein changes settings that macOS normally manages, such as fan speeds, battery charging and sleep. It is designed so that quitting it, a crash, or Reset to Auto always returns those settings to macOS defaults; the trust page explains how, and how to remove every part of it. Battery charge limiting has been tested on an M2 Pro MacBook Pro with macOS Tahoe; other Macs are untested. Please use the trial to check that Rein behaves well on your Mac before you buy.

Liability

If Rein is faulty, you have the rights the law gives you. Beyond those, liability is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Your data

See the privacy policy for what happens to your email and order details.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated, with the date at the top changed. The terms on the day you bought apply to your purchase.
